Innocent Mwendo Tuyisenge, 25 years old, embodies resilience and innovation as a social entrepreneur and climate activist based in Goma, DR Congo. Growing up in Rumangabo, a conflict-affected village in eastern DRC, Mwendo’s education instilled in him a fierce determination to spark positive change in his community. Holding a degree in Economics and Management, he further honed his academic skills through diverse training in entrepreneurship, computer science, digital marketing, and community conflict management and resolution.
His journey includes co-founding Green Masolo, an environmental magazine, and Editions Virunga, a publishing house focused on wildlife conservation. Presently, as the visionary founder of CultivaHub, an incubator operating in agriculture and the transformation of food waste into organic fertilizers, Mwendo is poised to lead impactful change aligned with the mission and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Leveraging his multifaceted professional experience, Mwendo is prepared to drive impactful change, leveraging innovation and sustainable practices for conservation and climate resilience.
