Vyjayanti Vasanta Mogli is a transgender, human rights, and RTI activist based in Hyderabad who enables transgender and queer communities to reclaim their dignity and rights through law, policy reform, and supportive community ecosystems.
A member of the Telangana State Welfare Board for Transgender Persons, one of Vyjatanti’s key victories was the declaration of the repressive Telangana Eunuchs Act as unconstitutional by the Telangana High Court.
Vyjayanti is the go-to person for RTI, PIL, and non-PIL writ-related advice for queer and transgender communities of Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities and Persons Living with HIV. She moves the legal system to generate immediate relief, as well as develop long-term legal solutions. Vyjayanti also builds allies within community-based organizations and energizes volunteers and community elders to build ground-up and intersectional solidarities.
Vyjayanti dreams to nurture leaders from the transgender and queer community in every sphere of society: from transgender doctors to corporates, economists, entrepreneurs, and lawyers.
