Harol is a young Indigenous leader from the Peruvian Amazon basin—specifically from the Kichwa people—who currently serves as an executive of his federation and supports its youth collective.
“Visibilizar para resistir” (Making Visible to Resist) seeks to contribute to the protection and restoration of the Kichwa people’s watersheds in the Peruvian Amazon through reforestation with native species, the recovery of ancestral knowledge, and community participation. The project strengthens the leadership of youth and women, promotes the defense of their territory, and raises awareness about the importance of forests and water in the face of climate change and other environmental threats.
