At 25 years old, Innocent Mwendo Tuyisenge embodies resilience and innovation as a social entrepreneur and climate activist based in Goma, DR Congo. Raised in Rumangabo, a conflict-affected village in eastern DRC, his early experiences and education instilled a fierce determination to spark meaningful change in his community.
He holds a degree in Economics and Management and has expanded his expertise through training in entrepreneurship, computer science, digital marketing, and community conflict resolution. His journey includes co-founding Green Masolo, an environmental magazine, and Éditions Virunga, a publishing house dedicated to wildlife conservation.
As the founder of CultivaHub, an incubator focused on agriculture and the transformation of food waste into organic fertilizers, Mwendo is advancing bold, practical solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through his multifaceted work, he brings together local insight, innovation, and a deep commitment to climate resilience and community well-being.
