A poet, writer, journalist, and community builder, Jacinta Kerketta works to revitalize Adivasi communities through literature and cultural regeneration.
Living and traveling in the tribal belts of Jharkhand, she facilitates intergenerational dialogue between youth and elders, using her writing to build bridges between communities, local government, artists, and cultural leaders. This work led to the creation of the Adivasi Ekta Manch, a youth-led platform that brings together more than 5,000 participants each year to develop ideas and actions for countering migration and conflict while renewing local languages, arts, stories, and music.
Jacinta is also partnering with Adivasi communities to research and revive their traditional Parha system of grassroots democracy, instilling new life into this form of self-governance.
