Vyjayanti Vasanta Mogli is a transgender, human rights, and RTI activist based in Hyderabad who works to enable transgender and queer communities to reclaim their dignity and rights through law, policy reform, and supportive community ecosystems.
A member of the Telangana State Welfare Board for Transgender Persons, she was instrumental in the Telangana High Court’s declaration of the repressive Telangana Eunuchs Act as unconstitutional—a landmark victory for transgender rights.
Widely recognized as a resource for RTI, PIL, and non-PIL writ-related advice, Vyjayanti supports queer and transgender communities across Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi, minority, disability, and HIV-positive identities. She engages the legal system to secure both immediate relief and lasting reforms, while also fostering alliances with community-based organizations. Her leadership energizes volunteers and community elders, building intersectional solidarities from the ground up.
Vyjayanti envisions nurturing leaders from the transgender and queer community in every sphere of society—from doctors and corporate professionals to economists, entrepreneurs, and lawyers.
