She is a feminist and environmental activist in Uruguay and, at the regional level, a member of Critical Views of the Territory from Feminism. She teaches at the Universidad de la República and from there, through a critical approach and collaborative research, she is closely connected with other organizations and collectives that inhabit rural territories and confront agro-extractivism- a daily threat to the health of human life and non-human entities.

Critical Views of the Territory from Feminism is made up of ten women from Ecuador, Mexico, Uruguay, Peru, Brazil and Colombia. It was founded in Ecuador in 2012 and, since then, these women have been self-motivated to reflect and advocate for a common dignified life, both theirs and the free and autonomous body-territories’. Since the creation of the body-territory mapping methodology in 2013, they have been building bridges between feminism, popular ecologies and the concrete experiences of people living in territories affected by extractivism, inequality and environmental destruction.

During these ten years, they have shared a methodology through different aspects of Abya Yala, promoting spaces to express the violence incarnated in the bodies-territories while acknowledging the possibility of trying out resistance strategies. On the other hand, the fellows of the Universidad de la República share a critical feminist pathway, a concern for socio-environmental issues, an interest in new ways of inhabiting the territories based on the peaceful coexistence with other species, with non-human entities, and their commitment to accompany women’s community resistance in agro-extractivist contexts.
