Gabriela Klier

Gabriella Klier is a researcher, poet, and philosopher based in Bariloche, Argentina. Her academic journey began in Biology, sparked by a fascination with the living world through the lens of science. Over time, her questions deepened into the philosophical and existential, leading her to pursue a PhD through the Philosophical Group of Biology, where she began interweaving research with socio-environmental activism.

She is currently a CONICET researcher at the National University of Río Negro, where she explores the poetics, affects, and ethical dimensions that shape environmental research in northern Patagonia. Her work bridges art, science, and philosophy, engaging with creative-affective approaches to knowledge and life. Among the projects she participates in are the Rumia Project, Collective Thinking, Mushroom Week, and LENTO, an art–science festival.

Gabriella also teaches in both formal and informal settings—offering workshops in environmental philosophy for elders, art for scientists, science for artists, and poetry, alongside university-level courses. She is the author of two poetry collections: Biology and The Deaths, the Houses and the Beasts.
