Odudu-Abasi Asuquo is a civil engineer and climate justice activist from the Niger Delta with over nine years of experience in environmental advocacy. She is the co-founder and CEO of Paperazi, an ecological enterprise dedicated to reducing single-use plastic by producing biodegradable shopping bags made from recycled paper.
Driven by a deep commitment to environmental justice, Odudu-Abasi actively volunteers with several conservation organizations, including Fight Against Desert Encroachment (FADE) Africa. She is a pioneer member of the Nigerian Youth Climate Hub, where she contributes to youth-driven climate policy initiatives, and serves on the board of Green Restore Initiative, a tech-enabled startup working to curb illegal logging in Nigeria. She is also a certified Climate Change Educator through the World Climate School and mentors young people—particularly girls—in soft skills and environmental education.
Odudu-Abasi currently works with Health of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF) as the Administrative Assistant of Oilwatch Africa, a network that builds solidarity and promotes resilience among communities resisting the expansion of fossil fuel extraction across the continent.
